Minutes of August 14, 2025 HOA Meeting
Brookhaven Town Updates—Jonathan Kornreich—town councilman
  • Battery storage facility is on hold, Brookhaven Town has not approved any facilities.
  • Savion says the facility cannot catch fire.
  • Harbor Road—jointly owned by Smithtown and Brookhaven towns, apparently they cannot agree on who is responsible for fixing the road.
  • Brookhaven owns the pond property but not the bridge.
  • Ward Melville Heritage Organization (WMHO) has $50million for repairs to the bridge.
  • NYS owns the bridge over the LIRR on Sheep Pasture Rd.

Other Agenda Items
  • There is still concern from residents regarding increase of National Grid bills.  Joe told residents to call Bryan Torruso at National Grid, 631-348-6123 to discuss.  This must be addressed on an individual basis, so each concerned resident must call.
  • Indoor pool cleaning and inspection will take place late September or early October.
  • The clubhouse will be cleaned at the same time.  Cleaning should take 2-3 days.
  • Smoke and CO2 detectors will be inspected in November.
  • Entrance gate is a problem.
  • Tennis court needs repair.

Community Comments
  • Angela Cippilino has two meters in her garden.
  • Future projects should be in the audit report—roads, roofs, driveways and reserves.
  • Carl Furci presented a petition signed by residents of 61 units objecting to overnight parking rules.
  • It was suggested that a handicapped chair be put in the indoor pool.
  • The Board should email the house rules to residents.
