SAN GENNARO FESTIVAL
The San Gennaro Festival found its way to Setauket Meadows on Wednesday evening, September 27, 2017 where the best zeppoles were prepared by Carl Furci. Carl spent a major portion of the evening scooping up dough and gently placing it in a fryer resulting in the most delicious zeppoles this side of the Mississippi River. Add a little powdered sugar and you have a delicious mouth watering treat. Josephine Brandine along with master zeppole maker, Carl, hosted the gathering in the Clubhouse where approximately 50 residents showed up for more tasty treats including pasta bolognese, homemade pizza, cheeses of all kinds, several different types of meatballs, sausage and peppers, salads, and desserts.
It was an evening of delicious food, good conversation, and friendship.
